External Keyboards in Polish Localizations

Palm Wireless Keyboard (BT Keyboard)

Polish characters are turned on by change of encoding. Turning off is possible using ESFly by change of encoding to Windows-1252.

QWERTZ layout is supported by this localization. QWERTZ layout for external keyboards is active if the files in QWERTZ folder are installed into internal memory.

Other keys can be typed using Alt Gr + diacritics key + keys a e i o n.

The layout is as follows (the order corresponds with the order of diacritics key):

a - ą ś ź ż
e - ę
i - ł
o - ó
n - ń

Capital letters are placed in the same fashion. The only difference is pressing the Shift key. Diacritics are on the keys d f g h j k.

Other keys can be typed using Alt Gr + key (without diacritics). E.g. Alt Gr + a = ą, Alt Gr + e = ę, Alt Gr + i = ł, Alt Gr + o = Ó etc.

Special characters substituted by Polish letters can be typed in the same way. Their layout is the same as for the original (English) layout but Alt Gr must be pressed.

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard (IR Keyboard)

Turning off and on of the Polish layout is the same as for PWK, i.e. Polish layout can be turned on by change of encoding. Turning off is possible by switching to Winfows-1252 using ESFly.

Other characters can be typed via Alt Gr + diacritics key + keys a e z s o n. The layout is not the same as for PWK. Capital letters can be typed by pressing Shift.

z - ź ż
s - ś
o - ó
n - ń

Other Polish characters + special characters substituted by the Polish can be written using Ctrl + Fn + key (without diacritics). E.g. Ctrl + Fn + a = ą, Ctrl + Fn + e = ę, Ctrl + Fn + i = ł, Ctrl + Fn + o = Ó, Ctrl + Fn + s = Ś etc.

Other keys can be typed using Alt Gr + key (without diacritics). E.g. Alt Gr + b = ń, Alt Gr + N = Ń etc.
